THE MYTH:
Ampelos is the satyr of the grapevine and divine lover of Dionysus - it's said that he was slain by a wild bull after taunting moon goddess Selene and in his grief, Dionysus transformed Ampelos' blood into wine.

THE SCENT:
Ampelos opens with a lush, mouth watering dark berry accord, brightened by the sparkle of bergamot. What follows is the crisp decadence of cardamom and orange blossom, forming a lush bouquet laid at an ancient altar exuding resinous amber, sweet labdanum, deep oud and creamy sandalwood. The dry down is a wine-dark sea, yet it's essence is surprisingly transparent for a dark gourmand.
