Throughout history, astrology has formed the bedrock for the vast majority of magikal traditions. But how do we connect our understanding of astrology and the mechanics of spellcraft?

In this four week intensive we'll address astrology and its potential to form a solid, historically rooted foundation to our individual practices. Throughout the weeks we'll tackle everything from timing our spells and choosing our ingredients to invoking the planets and their associated figures. You can expect a wealth of knowledge presented in accessible terminology and extra time for Q&A at the end of every session.

Week I: The Basics

In this class we'll tackle Western astrology's history, mystery and magik - looking at its various applications and how it can be used at the foundation for one's spellcraft. We'll also dispel some common myths and misconceptions.

Week II: The Planets

In this class we'll introduce the pantheon of planets and their associated figures, outlining the rulership of the planets and how we can find our most natural allies across the physical and spiritual realms. We'll look at each planet's individual nature and how both history and ancient myth have informed them as well as how they are embodied by the zodiac. You'll meet your ruling planet and learn how to work with it as well as understanding how to relate to the rest of the planets as well.

Week III: Correspondences

In this class we'll deep dive into the interconnected web of correspondences which link the planets, the signs, the elements, the humours, various gods and spirits, plants, animal, minerals and more. In the past astrology informed everything from agriculture and medicine to societal structure and religious iconology and its these links we'll unearth in order to illuminate the "Great Chain" past generations knew so well. We'll address how to effectively navigate these connections in everything from timing spells to choosing ingredients for more effective spellcraft.

Week IV: Spellcraft

In our final class we put theory into action with various example spells, rituals and altars for each planet. We'll discuss planetary invocation, planetary days and hours and how to more fully understand astrology's influence on our spellcraft in concrete terms.
