Geomancy 101

Geomancy was originally defined as divination through patterns in earth, rocks and soil but it has expanded over the eons and is the basis for binary code. It was so widely used that it played a key role in everything from medicine, diplomacy and marriages to agriculture, architecture and city planning.

This class will explore the various iterations of geomancy from Europe to the Middle East, from feng shui and the I Ching in China to ifá and diloggun from West Africa. We will focus mainly on European geomancy, including a live demonstration of the basic techniques and methodology so that attendees can begin to use the practice themselves.
