Plant Magik Intensive

The Plant Magik Intensive is held remotely through Google Meet. Each session is recorded and recordings will be made available in a dedicated channel on our Discord. Joining the class live each week is optimal but not necessary, so if you are in a different time zone, have other obligations or want to join the class a few weeks in that's fine - you'll have the recordings to rely on.

This class is open to all, regardless of experience or personal faith. Closed captioning will be provided.

Week I | The Basics
We will explore the basics of plant magik: what it is, how it works and where it comes from as well as what makes certain plants “sacred”. We'll cover the basics of botany, herbalism, animism and plant magik - what they are and where they intersect. We’ll look at everything from teas and tinctures to smoke and salves to candle magik and ritual baths, working through the countless ways plant magik forms the backbone of witchcraft in theory and practice.

Week II | The Mechanics
We will explore the myriad attributes, uses and interactions involved in choosing ingredients, establishing plant allies and crafting spells. We'll address the mechanics of spellcraft concerning plant magik, including identifying, sourcing and utilizing each ingredient.

Week III | Finding Your Plant Allies
We will deep dive into the planetary and astrological rulers, elemental affinities and the multitude of correspondences attributed to each plant and how we can use these connection to find our allies. We'll also address the folklore, myths and legends concerning plants how these stories contain ancestral wisdom regarding the magikal and medicinal potency of our herbal allies.

Week IV | Understanding Plant Spirits
We will tackle plant allies and their medicine, and we will follow a specific formula in discussing each of them as it helps us understand the personality, temperament and nature of these individual spirits.

• We’ll discuss the plant itself.
• We’ll discuss a class of spirits who share a similar character and nature to that of the plant.
• We’ll discuss a specific spirit belonging to that class in order to further clarify, and even anthropomorphize the spirit of the plant.

Using this methodology we will cover nearly fifty herbs, roots, resins and woods!
